Hadag Nahash, one of Israel’s most enduring and influential bands, announced on Sunday that it will mark 30 years together with a celebratory show on September 5 at the Caesarea Amphitheater. The sunset concert will feature guest appearances by Gidi Gov, Ninet Tayeb and Ravid Plotnik.
The band, formed in Jerusalem three decades ago, has remained active continuously, without breaks, reunions or comeback tours. Over that time, it has released more than 200 songs and helped define the soundtrack of several generations with hits including "Shirat HaSticker," "Zman Lehit'orer," "Hinei Ani Ba," "Shir Nehama," "Lo Paraierim," "Lazuz," "Ma Na'aseh" and "Hakol Yis'tader."
In a statement, the members said, "According to the calendar, we are celebrating 30 years together. But how can it be that 30 years have passed? It feels like only a moment ago we were still performing for eight people in Haifa and opening a karaoke night in Tiberias. We grew up, got married, started families, and today we are the tribe of Hadag Nahash." They added that they are even more excited than at the beginning to keep writing songs they love and said, "We have not reached the peak yet. The next stop, Caesarea."
The band said the concert is meant not only as a milestone celebration but also as a look ahead. It described the event as a "crazy birthday party" and, based on its long record of mixing danceable music, social commentary and singalong anthems, the group has reason to expect a large audience.
