Bayit Tzioni Leaders Split, Will Run Separately in Elections

Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel, the leaders of the "Bayit Tzioni" (Zionist Home) list, have announced they will run separately in the upcoming elections. In a joint statement, they explained that while they had initially formed the party with the goal of creating a broad Zionist government, the "complex political reality" led each to make a personal decision to pursue different paths. The party had gained significant traction and attracted many members.

Reports indicate that Tropper is nearing an agreement to join the "Yashar" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot. According to journalist Amit Segal, Tropper and Shira Shapiro are expected to receive prominent positions on the Yashar list, with Eliasaaf Peretz potentially securing a marginal spot. Eisenkot reportedly opposed Hendel joining the Yashar list due to concerns that Hendel might leave the coalition if a minority government were formed.

Hendel is reportedly considering running with Benny Gantz and the "Kahol Lavan" (Blue and White) party. Another potential option for Hendel is to join forces with the "Ha'Kalkalit" (The Economic) party, headed by Yaron Zelicha.
