Trooper and Hendel Dissolve Joint Party Ahead of Election Deadline

Just before the deadline for submitting party lists for the upcoming elections, Israeli politicians Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel announced on Sunday the dissolution of their joint party, 'Zionist Home-Reservists'. The party was formed with the goal of establishing a broad Zionist government.

In a joint statement, Tropper and Hendel explained that while the party had gained significant traction and attracted many members, the "complex political reality" led each of them to make a personal decision regarding its future. They emphasized their long-standing friendship, which predates their political careers and includes shared military reserve service and synagogue attendance.

Both politicians stated their commitment to continuing to serve the country and work towards the welfare of reservists and internal cohesion, each from their own platform. They expressed confidence that their shared ideological views remain intact and that they will collaborate again in the public sphere. The statement concluded by highlighting the enduring nature of their friendship, asserting that there were no lingering resentments, and that their bond would continue long after their political endeavors.

Tropper and Hendel had previously served together in the Knesset and were part of the Blue and White alliance before its fragmentation.
