Jerusalem Institutions Distribute $275,000 in Holiday Aid to 1,000 Torah Scholars

The initiative aims to support 'avreichim' with three or more children who dedicate their lives to Torah study and have no other source of income. Special application forms were distributed in recent weeks, and a rigorous selection process identified the 1,000 eligible recipients.
The event will feature prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Derai, who will deliver a preparatory talk for the Day of Judgment. Other leading rabbis are also expected to attend and offer words of encouragement. The distribution follows numerous requests from 'avreichim' facing financial hardship, exacerbated by recent decrees impacting the world of Torah study.
This distribution is part of an ongoing effort by Rabbi Derai to bolster the community of Torah scholars. Previously, the institutions distributed similar grants of NIS 1,000 to hundreds of 'avreichim' for the recent " Bein HaZmanim" (between semesters) period.
