Israel Continues Gaza Offensive, Targeting Homes and Displaced Persons

The Israeli military continued its operations in the Gaza Strip for the 332nd consecutive day, with reports of ceasefire violations including live fire, artillery shelling, and airstrikes. The army also reportedly demolished homes and targeted areas housing displaced people and their tents. In central Gaza, near Deir al-Balah, Israeli tanks fired intensively. In Gaza City, eastern areas were subjected to heavy fire from military vehicles, and a commercial building in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood was destroyed by airstrikes. Artillery shelling also targeted the Al-Sanafor intersection area, with warplanes conducting at least one raid on the eastern parts of the city. The Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood experienced artillery shelling, and an Israeli quadcopter drone fired into the area. In southern Gaza, Israeli tanks fired heavily towards northern Rafah.

These actions are occurring amid the ongoing war in Gaza, which Palestinians describe as a continuation of genocide under the guise of repeated violations of a ceasefire agreement. This truce, mediated by Arab and American parties in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, was reportedly signed on October 10, 2025. Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have continued firing, shelling, and targeting, alongside a tightened blockade on Gaza, exacerbating the destruction and suffering of civilians and the displaced, leading to casualties.

These violations persist despite U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement on July 31, 2026, of a "new agreement" to begin the second phase of the Gaza "roadmap," while Israeli military operations continue on the ground.
