Maccabi Petah Tikva Ready to Cover Player's Salary Amid Transfer Interest

Maccabi Petah Tikva is prepared to meet the full salary demands for midfielder Joni Stoyanov, who is also being pursued by other clubs. The team is actively looking to strengthen its squad following a recent 2-1 loss to Ironi Tiberias, their first defeat of the season after two wins. Stoyanov, currently with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, has been in discussions with Maccabi Petah Tikva, and the club has spoken with owner Alona Barkat about a potential transfer. Stoyanov himself must decide on his next destination as other teams are also interested.

In parallel, the club is considering the departure of player Mohammed Hindi, who is not in coach Ziv Arie's plans. If Hindi finds a new team before the transfer window closes, he will leave; otherwise, he will remain with Maccabi Petah Tikva until at least January. Omer Shirazi's role in the team has also diminished recently.

Despite the recent loss, the club is not overly concerned about their start to the season but acknowledges they missed a significant opportunity to establish a lead over Tiberias early on. A player expressed disappointment, stating, "It was a very big miss for us. We created enough chances to win, certainly to get a point. It's a shame, this is a game we shouldn't have lost. We were soft and lacked quality up front."
