Maccabi Petah Tikva secured a 3-0 victory over Ironi Tiberias in the Toto Cup, marking their second consecutive win and positioning them 11th in the tournament just before the Israeli Premier League season begins next week. After a disappointing first half, Petah Tikva dominated the second half, scoring three goals. The team credited the substitutes, including José Cortés and Ariel Lugasi, for injecting new energy and changing the game's dynamics. Lugasi made his second substitute appearance since returning from a severe ACL injury that sidelined him last season. Additionally, Eitan Tibi and Or Dadia made their season debuts for the club.

Maccabi Petah Tikva, coached by Ziv Arie, is still finalizing its squad and aims to sign a foreign central defender. In the coming days, Yoav Koren is expected to join the team on loan from Hapoel Be'er Sheva, as first reported by Sport 5.
