Maccabi Petah Tikva has announced the loan signing of Yoav Koren from Hapoel Be'er Sheva as the club prepares for the upcoming Israeli Premier League season. This move comes shortly after Maccabi Petah Tikva's 3-0 victory over Ironi Tiberias in the Toto Cup, marking their second consecutive win and positioning them 11th in the tournament standings.

The team, coached by Ziv Arie, showed a strong second-half performance against Ironi Tiberias after a disappointing first half. The substitutions, including José Cortés and Ariel Lugasi, who made his second appearance since recovering from a severe ACL injury, were credited with revitalizing the squad. Additionally, Eitan Tibi and Or Dadia made their season debuts in the blue kit.

Maccabi Petah Tikva is still working to complete its roster, with plans to sign a foreign central defender in the coming days. The club will kick off its league campaign on Saturday with a home match against Hapoel Kfar Saba. So far, approximately 450 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming season, reflecting positive fan engagement following the Toto Cup success.
