Israel's Nature Reserves and National Parks Draw 40,000 Visitors Over Weekend
Approximately 40,000 people visited Israel's nature reserves and national parks this past weekend, according to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. The most popular destinations included Gan HaShlosha (Sachne), Dor HaBonim Nature Reserve, Caesarea, Yarkon National Park (Tel Afek), and Ein Hemed.
In addition to day visitors, around 2,000 people spent the weekend camping at designated sites managed by the authority. Popular overnight locations featured Achziv Beach, Tal Forest, Maayan Harod, Tel Ashkelon, and Eshkol Park.
The Israel Nature and Parks Authority monitors visitor numbers at the country's natural and historical sites. In 2025, these sites collectively welcomed approximately 8.8 million visitors, with the vast majority, about 8.6 million, being Israelis.
