About 70,000 Visited Israel’s Nature Reserves and National Parks Over the Weekend
Roughly 70,000 visitors came on Saturday to nature reserves and national parks across Israel, according to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. The most popular sites were Gan HaShlosha, also known as the Sachne, Ma'ayan Harod, Hof Dor-Habonim Nature Reserve, Einot Tzukim Nature Reserve, Yarkon National Park at Tel Afek, and Tel Ashkelon.
The authority also said about 4,700 hikers slept overnight in its camping sites over the weekend. The busiest overnight locations were the Ma'ayan Harod, Tel Ashkelon, Eshkol Park, and Yarkon Springs campgrounds.
