Tens of Thousands Visit Israel's Nature Reserves and National Parks Over Weekend
Approximately 40,000 visitors flocked to nature reserves and national parks across Israel this past Saturday. The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported that the most popular sites included Gan Hashlosha (the "Sahne"), Dor HaBonim Beach Nature Reserve, Caesarea, Yarkon National Park (Tel Afek), and Ein Hemed.
In addition to day visitors, around 2,000 people stayed overnight in the Authority's designated camping areas throughout the weekend. The most frequented overnight locations were Achziv Beach, Tel Hai, Me'ayan Harod, Tel Ashkelon, and Eshkol Park.
