Armed Man Neutralized by Police After Firing at Officers in Netanya

Police forces neutralized an armed suspect who fired at them in the Kiryat HaSharon neighborhood of Netanya on Saturday evening. The suspect, carrying an M16 rifle, was reportedly aiming the weapon at officers when they opened fire, according to a police statement. No security forces were reported injured in the incident.

Large police forces from the Central District were deployed to the scene, with District Commander Superintendent Amir Cohen present. Videos circulating from the area show a person walking in the street with a long rifle, and later, police forces arriving and donning protective vests.
