Israeli Para Taekwondo Fighter Adnan Milad Wins Bronze in South Korea

Israeli Paralympic taekwondo fighter Adnan Milad secured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix competition in Muju, South Korea, on Friday. This significant achievement strengthens his world ranking and positions him favorably for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games.

Milad, competing in the under-63 kg weight class, has had a successful year, also winning a silver medal at this year's European Championships and a bronze at the 2024 European Championships. The bronze medal in South Korea marks his first medal at a Grand Prix event, a prestigious tournament.

He began the competition with a victory over a Japanese opponent in the round of 16, followed by an impressive win against a Spanish competitor in the quarterfinals, guaranteeing him a podium finish. In the semifinals, Milad faced a tough match against an opponent from Mongolia, ultimately losing a close contest. Despite the semifinal loss, he concluded the tournament with the valuable bronze medal, further demonstrating his status among the world's elite in the sport.
