Police Commissioner Vows Force Against Nazareth Crime After Four Deaths

Police Commissioner Inspector General Danny Levi declared that recent events in Nazareth, including the deaths of four young men in three separate incidents on Wednesday and Thursday, represent a "red line" for law enforcement. He stated that criminal gangs will not be allowed to engage in violent disputes on city streets and endanger residents' lives. In response, police forces have been reinforced in Nazareth with dozens of officers and Border Police personnel. "We will act with strength, firmness, and without any leniency against anyone involved in shooting, violence, and illegal possession of weapons," Levi asserted. He added that those attempting to flee the police would be apprehended and weapon possessors held accountable. Police operations in Nazareth will continue with full force, day and night, until calm and security are restored.

Levi reiterated the clear message: "We will not allow crime and violence to impose a reality on the residents of Nazareth, and we will continue to work firmly until this goal is achieved." Following the announcement, police reported arresting 10 suspects overnight and seizing a pistol, a grenade, and various weapon parts. During nighttime raids on several locations, some suspects attempted to escape but were apprehended after pursuits.
