Police Boost Nazareth Presence After Four Youths Killed in String of Violence
Israeli police announced on Friday morning that they have significantly increased their forces in the city of Nazareth following the deaths of four young men in three separate incidents on Wednesday and Thursday. Police stated that overnight, their forces arrested 10 suspects and seized a handgun, a grenade, and various weapon parts. The increased deployment includes dozens of police officers and Border Police personnel who raided several locations. Some suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended after a pursuit.
These arrests follow the detention of over 20 other suspects on Thursday night, including the brother of one of the deceased. The detention of the 10 suspects has been extended until Sunday, September 6, 2026. Police described the operation as a reinforcement of forces within the city.
