Fourth Murder in Nazareth in 24 Hours Sparks Police Crackdown
A man was killed in the eastern district of Nazareth on September 3rd, marking the fourth homicide in the city within a 24-hour period. Paramedics found the victim unconscious and initiated resuscitation efforts, transporting him to St. Family Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead. The incident followed a series of violent events on the evening of September 2nd, when two separate shootings occurred. In one, two men in their 30s were killed when their car was shot at. Police suspect this was a targeted killing by a local criminal group over territorial disputes. Hours later, a 25-year-old man was also murdered. In response to the escalating violence, which police attribute to gang warfare, authorities arrested 15 suspects overnight. "In recent days, several weapons have been confiscated in Nazareth, and several suspects have been arrested who are also suspected of involvement in the gangs participating in the escalating conflict," a police statement said.
