Today, Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear, with a slight rise in temperatures, especially in northern Israel, where readings will be a little above seasonal norms. Extremely high heat stress is expected in the Kinneret Valley, the Dead Sea coast, the Jordan Valley and the Arava.
Heavy heat stress is also forecast for the southern Golan and its slopes, the northern valleys, the Lower Galilee, the Judean Desert and eastern Negev. Moderate heat stress is expected in the northern Golan, the Western Galilee, the Carmel, Ramat Menashe, the coastal plain, the Shfela, the central mountains, the northern Negev and the southern Negev.
At night, skies will remain partly cloudy to clear. The predicted solar radiation index for today is very high to extreme. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop, mainly in the mountains and inland areas, returning to seasonal averages. On Friday they will fall further, and on Saturday they are expected to rise again.
