Israel Offers Condolences and Aid to Nepal After Deadly Floods

Israel's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Yossi Shelley, met with Nepal's ambassador to the UAE, Taj Bahadur Chhetri, to express deep condolences following a catastrophic flood disaster in Nepal. During his visit to the Nepalese embassy, Shelley signed a book of condolences for the victims, which included over a thousand deaths and thousands more listed as missing.

Shelley conveyed profound sorrow for the loss of life and extensive destruction caused by the floods. He informed his Nepalese counterpart about the ongoing efforts by Israeli aid organizations and a broad mobilization within Israel to assist those affected, aiding rescue and rehabilitation initiatives in Nepal.

"Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, and we wish a full recovery to the injured," Shelley stated. "Israel stands in firm solidarity with the Nepalese people."
