Israel Forces Destroy Dozens of Weapons Manufacturing Sites Near Nablus
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), with guidance from the Shin Bet security agency, concluded a large-scale counter-terrorism operation in the Nablus area and surrounding villages in the West Bank. The 48-hour operation resulted in the destruction of over 30 lathes used for manufacturing weapons.
During the extensive sweep, forces searched hundreds of locations, interrogated dozens of suspects, and arrested more than ten wanted individuals. They also located and confiscated weapons, including firearms, pistols, and ammunition, hidden in the area.
The destruction of the manufacturing equipment is intended to disrupt the local infrastructure for producing weapons and prevent their transfer to terrorist cells operating in the region.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the forces for their success. "I congratulate our forces on a successful operation in Samaria, where they destroyed dozens of weapons manufacturing lathes, seized dozens of weapons, and arrested wanted individuals involved in terrorism," he stated. Netanyahu affirmed that the fight against terrorist organizations would continue on all fronts, adding, "Our activity to thwart terrorism continues with full force in Judea and Samaria, Gaza, Lebanon, and wherever our enemies try to threaten the State of Israel."
