IDF Completes 48-Hour Operation in Nablus, Destroying Weapons Facilities
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in coordination with the Shin Bet security agency, concluded a large-scale, 48-hour operation in and around the West Bank city of Nablus and nearby villages. The operation involved extensive searches of hundreds of locations aimed at uncovering terror infrastructure, weapons, and individuals involved in hostile activities.
During the two-day sweep, IDF forces interrogated dozens of suspects and arrested over ten wanted individuals. A significant outcome of the operation was the discovery and destruction of more than 30 lathes, which the military stated were used for manufacturing weapons. This action is part of an effort to degrade the local capacity for independent arms production.
In addition to the lathes, forces located and confiscated various weapons and ammunition hidden in different sites, including guns and pistols. The IDF emphasized that the operation is part of a focused effort to thwart terror infrastructure and disrupt armed groups.
The IDF indicated that operations in the Nablus region are ongoing and that forces will continue proactive, offensive actions throughout the West Bank to neutralize threats and ensure the security of residents in the area and Israeli civilians.
