Israeli Charged with Security Offenses, Allegedly Operated by Foreign Agents

The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment on Friday against an Israeli citizen for security offenses, following his arrest and investigation by the Shin Bet and police. While details of the case are currently under gag order, the court permitted the release of some information at the request of security officials.

According to a statement, the suspect was investigated on suspicion of security offenses. During questioning, it emerged that he was allegedly operated by foreign intelligence entities and involved in foreign influence activities. The indictment and a request for his remand until the end of proceedings were filed after his investigation concluded, citing his alleged operation by foreign intelligence against the State of Israel.
