Family Sues After Woman Dies During Twin Pregnancy

The family of Reut Cohen, who died during her twin pregnancy, intends to file a lawsuit following the incident. The law firm representing the family, Dr. Rubinstein-Yakirevitch, stated that they recently received medical documentation from Meir Hospital after repeated requests. "Due to the unreasonable delay in receiving the materials, consultation with medical experts has not yet been completed, and upon its completion, we will formulate our position," the firm said.

Sheba Medical Center, where Cohen reportedly received treatment, issued a statement expressing condolences and confirming that an investigation into the circumstances, including all aspects of treatment and discussions with involved staff, has begun. Meir Hospital stated that it is awaiting the findings of the Ministry of Health's investigation committee into the incident. The Ministry of Health confirmed its committee is currently convening and also offered its condolences to the family.
