Woman Dies in Late Pregnancy; Family Seeks Answers on Final Hours
Reut Cohen, a 35-year-old woman, died in April while 28 weeks pregnant with twins. In the week leading up to her death, she was hospitalized twice but was released both times. The day after her second hospitalization, she collapsed at home and passed away.
More than four months after her death, a fact-finding committee established by the Ministry of Health has yet to begin its work. Cohen's family is demanding answers regarding the circumstances of her final hours and the medical care she received.
"You don't just imagine what was, but also what should be," her family stated, expressing their frustration with the delay in the investigation and their desire for clarity and accountability.
