Hamas Interior Security Chief Captured in Gaza, Becomes Intelligence Goldmine

Israeli security officials are hailing the recent capture of Moin Al-Aarabid, identified as Hamas's head of internal security, describing him as an "intelligence treasure" following initial interrogations. Al-Aarabid is reportedly providing crucial information regarding Hamas's weapons caches, infrastructure, and personnel. His arrest, executed in a daring operation in Gaza led by the IDF's Southern Command and the Shin Bet, has reportedly instilled a sense of paranoia among Hamas leadership, who are uncertain about potential future Israeli actions.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that Al-Aarabid was responsible for Hamas's force-building efforts, rehabilitation attempts, and restoring governance, in addition to aiding terror operations and orchestrating deception regarding the Strip's disarmament. Investigators are particularly interested in Hamas's weaponry, manpower, and terror infrastructure within Gaza.

The operation involved special forces arriving in a white commercial vehicle, apprehending Al-Aarabid, while the Air Force simultaneously targeted military sites in the vicinity to neutralize threats to the ground forces. Following the arrest, the IDF raised its alert level along the border due to concerns of a retaliatory response from Hamas.
