Hamas Internal Security Chief Captured, Becomes 'Intelligence Treasure' for Israel

Israeli security officials have commented for the first time on the interrogation of Moin Al-Aarabid, the head of Hamas's internal security apparatus, who was captured in Gaza City two days ago by special Shin Bet forces. Officials described Al-Aarabid to Channel 12 News as an "intelligence treasure," stating that the information he has provided thus far in his interrogation is "good, important, and vital."

Al-Aarabid was responsible for Hamas's force-building efforts, rehabilitation attempts, and restoring the organization's governance. Israeli officials believe he is cooperating with his interrogators. Given his significant role, Israel aims to focus on extracting intelligence regarding Hamas's preparations for the post-war period in Gaza, its operational methods, and its plans for rebuilding its capabilities.
