Ben Gurion Airport anticipates a record-breaking passenger volume in September, with projections of up to 100,000 travelers per day during peak periods. This surge is attributed to the autumn holiday season and a general increase in travel. The Israel Airports Authority estimates that over 3 million passengers will cross the country's borders throughout September and the holiday period, with approximately 2.5 million expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport alone.

Specific dates identified as particularly busy are September 10, 17, 22, and 25. On these days, the airport could handle around 100,000 passengers and approximately 600 flights daily. The highest concentration of travelers is expected on September 10, the eve of Rosh Hashanah, when international flight passengers might exceed 100,000.

An additional strain will come from special flights to Uman, Ukraine, scheduled from September 6 to September 17. To manage the expected congestion, travelers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport well in advance, account for potential queues, and allow extra time for check-in and security procedures. Passengers are also encouraged to verify flight status, departure terminals, and necessary documents beforehand, and to utilize online check-in services whenever possible.
