New Poll Shows Ofer Winter's Party Plummeting Ahead of Election

A new Israeli election poll released Wednesday by i24news indicates a significant drop in support for Ofer Winter's "Am Israel" party, just one day after the merger of the Smotrich and Feiglin factions. The poll shows Winter's party receiving 5 Knesset seats, a decrease of three seats from the previous survey. In contrast, the newly unified Smotrich-Feiglin party gained two seats, reaching a total of 6 mandates.

The survey, conducted by Direct Polls Ltd., suggests a dramatic shift in voter intentions if elections were held today. The Likud party leads with 27 seats, one more than previously recorded. "Yesh Atid" follows with 23 seats, while "Meretz" and "New Hope" together secured 9 seats, with Yair Golan's faction losing one seat and Naftali Bennett's faction gaining one. "United Torah Judaism" is projected to receive 8 seats.

Several parties are tied at 7 seats: the Joint List, Otzma Yehudit, Shas, and Yisrael Beiteinu. The Arab-majority United Arab List and Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit each gained one seat, while Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu lost one.

The Religious Zionism-Identity party is polling at 6 seats, an increase of two. "Am Israel" and Ra'am are tied at the bottom with 5 seats each. Mansour Abbas's Ra'am faction lost one seat, while Ofer Winter's "Am Israel" party saw its support decline by three seats compared to the prior poll.
