Polls Show Shifting Fortunes for Israeli Political Parties

Two recent opinion polls released Tuesday present differing views on the Israeli political landscape. A poll conducted by i24news indicates the Likud party would receive 27 seats, while a poll by Channel 13 suggests the "Yashar" party led by Gadi Eisenkot would lead with 22 seats, with Likud trailing at 21.

The i24news poll shows the Likud strengthening by one seat compared to its previous poll, reaching 27 mandates. "Yashar" remains stable with 23 seats, while the Democrats drop one seat to nine. Naftali Bennett's "Bayit Yehudi" party gains one seat for a total of nine, and United Torah Judaism holds steady with eight. The Joint List and Otzma Yehudit each gain one seat, reaching seven, as does Shas. Israel Beiteinu drops one seat to seven.

The Religious Zionism list, following its alliance with Moshe Feiglin, gains two seats to reach six. Ra'am loses one seat to five. Ofer Winter's "Am Yisrael" party shows a significant decline, falling from eight seats in the previous poll to five in the current one.

In terms of blocs, the i24news poll shows the coalition bloc reaching 60 seats, the first time since mid-May. The opposition receives 48 seats, and Arab parties secure 12.

The Channel 13 poll presents a different outcome, with "Yashar" leading at 22 seats, compared to 21 for Likud. Bennett's "Bayit Yehudi" receives 12 seats and the Democrats 11. The Joint List gets nine seats, Israel Beiteinu and United Torah Judaism eight each, and Shas and Otzma Yehudit seven each. The Smotrich-Feiglin list receives six seats, and Ra'am five. Regarding Winter's new party, "Am Yisrael," it receives only four seats in the Channel 13 poll.
