New Poll Shows Winter’s Party Surging While Bennett and Lapid Collapse

A new mandate poll released Thursday evening on Channel 14 reveals a challenging outlook for Israel's left-wing bloc and a notable rise for retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter. Just three days after launching his party "Amcha Yisrael," Winter's faction has crossed the electoral threshold for the first time, securing four Knesset seats. This marks a significant improvement from an earlier poll conducted immediately after Winter's political entry, which showed only 2.1% support, below the threshold. Other polls had even suggested Winter's party could win six or seven seats.

The full poll results show the Likud party leading with 31 seats, followed by Yesh Atid with 23, Shas with 10, and the Democratic Camp with 9. United Torah Judaism, Otzma Yehudit, and the Joint List each receive 7 seats. Israel Beytenu holds 6 seats, Ra'am 5, while the Religious Zionist Party and Winter's Amcha Yisrael each have 4 seats. Notably, former Mossad chief was offered a secured spot on the Likud list by Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Parties failing to cross the threshold include Zehut led by Moshe Feiglin at 1.7%, Zionist Home-Militaries with 1.1%, Blue and White at 0.4%, HaAhdut at 0.3%, and Noam also at 0.3%. The right-wing bloc totals 63 seats, the left-wing bloc 45 seats, and Arab parties collectively hold 12 seats.

This poll underscores a significant shift in Israel’s political landscape, with Winter’s new party disrupting traditional seat distributions and the left-wing bloc facing a steep decline. The results will influence coalition negotiations ahead of the next Knesset elections.
