Democrat Activist Investigated for Inciting Violence Against Knesset Speaker Ohana

Police in Tel Aviv South opened an investigation into a 27-year-old Democrat activist suspected of posting content on social media that incited violence against Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. The suspect, a Tel Aviv resident, was summoned for questioning and subsequently released under restrictive conditions. The investigation was prompted by a report received Tuesday regarding the social media post.

The probe follows a public outcry over signs and stickers targeting Ohana that were placed along the route from his home to his children's elementary school. Ohana claimed the placement and height of these signs indicated they were intended to be seen by his children and their friends. The controversy intensified when Rom Gur, a field coordinator for the "Return to Question" organization associated with Lior Narkis, responded to Ohana's post by stating, "All 64 [members of Knesset] should be deathly for all intents and purposes."

Authorities are working to determine the circumstances of the online post and identify all individuals involved. While the investigation is ongoing, police emphasized that the allegations are currently only suspicions, and no determination has yet been made regarding the content under review. The activist was released after his interrogation.
