Tel Aviv Prepares for Major Football Match with Road Closures and Security

Israel Police have finalized security preparations for a highly anticipated football match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Beitar Jerusalem, scheduled for September 3, 2026, at 8:30 PM at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv. Hundreds of police officers, ushers, and security guards will be deployed around the stadium and nearby streets starting in the afternoon to ensure crowd safety and manage traffic. Stadium gates will open at 5:30 PM, with thorough security checks for all attendees.

Several streets in the vicinity of the stadium will be closed to traffic and parking from the afternoon of the match. These include portions of Emek Sh'erit Yisrael, Ha'Tchiah, and Etzion Gever. Access to these streets will be restricted to authorized personnel and residents via a specific route.

Fans are advised to arrive early due to strict security screenings. Prohibited items include weapons, alcohol, and drones. Individuals under the influence of alcohol will be denied entry. The use of flares and pyrotechnics is strictly forbidden, with violations potentially leading to a 3,000 shekel fine and criminal charges. Additionally, face coverings or any clothing that obscures identification are banned, with offenders facing a 500 shekel fine and exclusion from the stadium.
