The Bank of Israel has reduced its benchmark interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, bringing it down to 3.25%. According to Sponser, the rate cut will save the average mortgage holder approximately 65 shekels per month, accumulating to about 20,000 shekels over the life of the loan.

However, experts caution against expecting a return to the extremely low interest rates of the past, noting that the current reductions are gradual, unlike the sharp previous increases.
