IDF Fragmentation Grenades and Weapon Found Near Tivon

Israeli police in the Northern District, along with Border Police forces, discovered a cache of weapons in a rocky area near the town of Tivon on August 30, 2026. The find included an M-16 rifle, three Israeli military fragmentation grenades, and scattered ammunition, all of which had been hidden.

The discovery was part of an ongoing effort by the police to combat violent crime and confiscate illegal weapons. Since the beginning of the year, the Northern District police and Border Police have seized over 610 lethal weapons. During these operations, armed suspects have been apprehended.

All confiscated items were transferred to the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police for further analysis and investigation. The police stated that their operations to seize weapons and apprehend those involved are continuing.
