Crane Operator Injured in Rehovot Workplace Accident

A 60-year-old crane operator sustained moderate injuries this morning in a workplace accident in Rehovot, a city in central Israel. Emergency responders, including paramedics from Magen David Adom and volunteers from the Hatzala organization, were dispatched to Har Moriah Street following reports of an incident at a construction site.

Upon arrival, they discovered that a crane truck had overturned onto its side. The driver, a man in his 60s, became trapped between the crane's arm and a nearby wall. A Hatzala medic, David Moshe Teitelbaum, described finding the injured driver trapped at the scene.

Following complex rescue operations by firefighters, medical teams provided the man with initial treatment, including stabilization and bandaging. He was then transported to the trauma unit at Kaplan Hospital for further care, with his condition described as moderate.
