Missing Child Found Safe in Bnei Brak; Jerusalem Man Arrested

A 10-year-old boy from Petah Tikva, who had been missing since Sunday evening, was located overnight in Bnei Brak alongside a 20-year-old resident of Jerusalem. Both were brought to the police station, and the suspect was arrested. He is scheduled to appear in court later today for an extension of his remand.

The police received a report of the missing child on Sunday evening, prompting officers from the Petah Tikva station to launch an extensive search operation, utilizing technological resources. Guided by the initial search efforts, officers from the Bnei Brak station found the boy and the suspect. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Last month, police investigated a report of an attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl in Ramat HaSharon. According to the report filed with the police, the girl was waiting on the sidewalk for pickup when a car stopped. The driver, described as having an Arabic accent, allegedly motioned for her to enter the vehicle while threatening her. The girl's mother stated that her daughter reacted quickly, ran away, and is safe. The family immediately reported the incident to the police and Ramat HaSharon security services, who took the report seriously and initiated searches.
