Boy, 10, Abducted and Found Safe After Being Manipulated by Suspect

The mother of a 10-year-old boy, Yahli, who was allegedly abducted and later found in Bnei Brak, described how the suspect manipulated her son. Shiran Sabtai Sofer stated that Yahli was playing with friends when a young man approached, demanding money. The children fled in fear, but Yahli, feeling pity for the suspect who claimed to have been kicked out of his home and had no money, stayed behind. The suspect then used Yahli to beg for money and took him on a bus to Bnei Brak.

Sabtai Sofer noted that her son would have returned home earlier if he had been in his usual neighborhood, indicating that his extended absence was unusual. The suspect reportedly exploited Yahli's compassion, convincing him to help collect donations. The incident highlights the suspect's manipulative tactics, preying on the child's empathy to facilitate the alleged abduction and exploitation.
