Israel's Largest Special Education Network Launches New School Year

The 'Perach Israel' network, the largest special education network in Israel, commenced its academic year with over 15,000 students across more than 30 municipalities nationwide. This year's opening is marked by the addition of 24 new facilities and the expansion into additional municipalities, involving over 5,000 educational, therapeutic, and para-medical staff. The network's CEO, Rabbi Moshe Stein, chose Sderot to inaugurate the school year, where the network's communication daycare activities have expanded into a new, larger, and fully protected facility. Rabbi Stein and Mayor Alon Davidi visited the new center and affixed a mezuzah. New facilities were also opened across the country, including a new communication school in Tiberias, five communication kindergartens and a rehabilitation kindergarten in Rosh HaAyin, three new communication kindergartens each in Ariel and Ra'anana, and two in Kiryat Shmona. Additional kindergartens opened in Givat Ze'ev, Yehud, and Be'er Ya'akov. The network's reach has extended to new municipalities, with the opening of new rehabilitative daycare centers in Ofakim and Givat Shmuel, and another expected in Kfar HaOranim in the Binyamin region soon. Existing facilities in Elad, Harish, Leshem, and Sderot have moved to larger, more spacious buildings. A significant achievement this year is the recruitment of over 5,000 educational, therapeutic, and para-medical staff, addressing the ongoing shortage of professionals in Israel's special education system.
