Beit Shemesh Water Supply Continues Normally After Overnight Concerns

The municipality of Beit Shemesh and the "Mei Shemesh" water and sewage corporation announced Wednesday morning that the city's water supply is continuing as usual, following an overnight period that passed without disruptions. At this time, no impact on the supply is expected in the coming hours or during the school day.

The update came after the municipality and corporation warned Tuesday evening that potential localized disruptions in the city were possible overnight. These concerns stemmed from a national malfunction and the management of water supply by the Mekorot company.

In response to the fears, a joint effort was undertaken throughout the night by the Beit Shemesh municipality, the "Mei Shemesh" corporation, and Mekorot. Officials continuously monitored the supply status and worked to manage the city's water system to ensure its normal operation. The municipality noted that Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and City Manager Eliad Abramczyk maintained constant contact with the water corporation's management.

Simultaneously, "Mei Shemesh" employees worked through the night to prevent any disruption to the regular supply for residents. As of 8:08 AM, no malfunctions had been recorded, and there is no concern of disruptions at educational institutions during school hours. The municipality and corporation stated they will continue to monitor developments and update the public as necessary.
