Bnei Brak Leads Israel in Public Transport Satisfaction

New data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics places Bnei Brak at the top among large Israeli cities for public transportation satisfaction. According to the 2025 Social Survey, 50% of Bnei Brak residents are satisfied with the frequency of intercity bus lines, significantly higher than the national average of 31% and other major cities like Jerusalem (38%), Haifa (37%), and Tel Aviv-Yafo (29%).

When asked about the overall performance of buses, Bnei Brak also ranked highly, with 64% of residents rating it positively. Only Haifa (66%) and Jerusalem (65%) scored higher. Nationally, only 52% of the public views bus performance positively.

Furthermore, 66% of Bnei Brak bus passengers agree that they can generally reach their destinations via public transport within a reasonable time, exceeding the national average of 56%. The proximity of bus stops to homes also received high marks, with 91% of passengers in Bnei Brak satisfied, compared to the national average of 82% and an improvement from 82% in Bnei Brak a decade prior.

Despite these positive trends, satisfaction with the frequency of intercity bus lines in Bnei Brak has seen a notable decline. In 2015, 67% of residents were satisfied with bus line frequency, dropping to 50% in the latest survey. The Central Bureau of Statistics noted that this decrease in satisfaction with line frequency has been observed nationwide over the past decade.

The 2025 Social Survey included 6,452 participants aged 20 and above, representing approximately 6.3 million people across Israel.
