Three More Arrested in Southern Hebron Violence Probe
Israeli police announced Wednesday the arrest of three additional suspects in connection with recent arson and assault incidents targeting Palestinians in the southern Hebron Hills region. The suspects, aged 15 to 22, reside in the West Bank and central Israel and have been taken for questioning. Their detention will be reviewed by a judge.
The arrests were made by a joint force comprising the Judea and Samaria District's inter-organizational headquarters, the Border Police, and the Shin Bet security agency. This operation follows earlier arrests in the case.
In parallel, a court extended the detention of seven previously arrested suspects. One suspect was released under restrictive conditions. Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, utilizing all available technological and diverse means to identify, apprehend, and prosecute all individuals involved in violence or property damage.
These incidents, which have drawn significant political and security responses, include serious arson and attack events in the southern Hebron Hills. Notably, a previous incident involving a blockade of the Palestinian village of Kusra caused international concern and prompted requests for clarification from Israel.
