Eight Arrested in Southern Hebron Hills Arson and Attack Probe

Eight suspects, aged 16-20 and residing in Judea and Samaria and central Israel, were arrested overnight Tuesday in connection with serious arson and attack incidents in the southern Hebron Hills region. The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation by the inter-organizational command of the Israel Police's Judea and Samaria district.

During the operation, three vehicles suspected of being used by the perpetrators were seized. The suspects have been transferred for interrogation, after which police intend to bring them before a court to request their remand be extended.

Israel Police stated that they "condemn and view with severity acts of violence and damage that harm the security of the state and the entire settlement enterprise, and will continue to act with determination and professionalism to locate and arrest those involved in these cases throughout the Judea and Samaria region, investigate them, and exhaust legal proceedings against them accordingly."

Earlier this week, Israeli rioters reportedly broke into a Palestinian home in the village of Qusra in Samaria, injuring individuals before being evacuated by security forces. IDF and Border Police forces arrived at the village following reports of Israeli rioters entering the area and engaging in violent friction, including stone-throwing at Palestinians and other civilians.
