Beitar Jerusalem Coach Considers Lineup Shakeup After Heavy Loss

Beitar Jerusalem will resume preparations on Tuesday for their upcoming match against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Thursday, aiming to put behind them a recent 4-1 defeat to Maccabi Netanya. Coach Almog Cohen, who did not speak with his players after Sunday's training, is reportedly considering a significant overhaul of the starting lineup due to the team's poor performance, particularly in defense and off-the-ball contributions.

A source within Beitar Jerusalem told Sport Channel, "No player's place in the lineup is guaranteed, there are no sacred cows here. Whoever isn't good enough will have to prove they deserve to wear the Beitar starting jersey." Forward Yarden Shua is expected to return to the starting lineup after recovering from an ankle injury, having come on as a substitute in the last game.

Additional changes are anticipated, especially in the midfield, which was criticized for its weak performance. The team is also working to get right-back Nana Ampomah, who suffered a knock in the last game, and left-back Jordan Cohen, injured during warm-ups before a match against Austria Vienna, ready to play.
