Israel's Desalination Plants Resume Full Operations After Weather Disruptions
Israel's Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced that two desalination plants, Sorek A and Sorek B, have returned to full operational capacity. Additionally, the Palmachim and Ashdod desalination facilities are expected to resume full operations by the evening. The ministry stated that water supply to households is continuing as normal and the water economy is returning to routine.
In the Jerusalem area, where localized disruptions were reported in some neighborhoods, reservoirs are anticipated to be replenished by 10:00 PM. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen emphasized the resilience of Israel's water economy, noting that despite weather-related damage to desalination facilities, swift action ensured the uninterrupted supply of water.
