Kuzmichov and Elazar Win Israeli Beach Volleyball Championship

Kevin Kuzmichov and Ilan Elazar have reclaimed the Israeli Beach Volleyball Championship title, defeating Tamir Hershko and David Lenciano 2-0 in the men's final. The event, held at Frishman Beach in Tel Aviv and attended by approximately 1,500 spectators, also saw the crowning of the women's champions.

The men's semi-finals featured close matches. Kuzmichov and Elazar, ranked 16th globally, secured a 2-0 victory over Yanai Fisher and Omer Guzlan. In the other semi-final, Hershko and Lenciano advanced to the final via a technical win after Sean Faiga sustained an injury during his match against them.

In the women's tournament, reigning champions Shiray Dananberg and Daniela Gonzalez successfully defended their title, also winning 2-0 in the final against Dafna Maar and Ariel Nachshoni. This marks their second consecutive championship win.

Both winning pairs expressed their joy and satisfaction with their performances. Kuzmichov and Elazar highlighted the importance of playing at home for family and friends and mentioned their focus shifting to the Olympic qualifiers in November. Dananberg and Gonzalez spoke about their breakthrough international season and pride in their year-over-year progress.

The championship ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Yael Arad, Chairwoman of the Olympic Committee, and Lior Shapira, Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
