Israeli Players Solomon, Peretz, and Issa Start Simultaneously in English Championship Matches

On Saturday, the third round of the English Championship continued with three Israeli players starting for their respective teams. Daniel Peretz was in goal for Southampton in their home match against Millwall, while Manor Solomon started for West Ham United in an away game at Watford. Lisab Issa also featured in Bristol City's lineup as they hosted Portsmouth.

Southampton faced a tough challenge against Millwall, who began the season strongly with two wins and currently top the league. Despite a recent League Cup defeat to West Ham in which Peretz made an error, he retained his starting position and aimed to move past that mistake. The first half ended goalless, with Peretz making an early save from Millwall's Tyrick Arconte.

West Ham, seeking their first league win of the season after a draw and a surprising home loss, came into the match boosted by a 4-1 League Cup victory over Southampton midweek. Manor Solomon, who had performed well despite the recent league loss, was expected to play a key role alongside Jarrod Bowen and striker Toti Castañanos, who scored in the cup win.

Bristol City, with Lisab Issa starting for the fourth consecutive match, hosted Portsmouth aiming for their first league victory. They had narrowly missed out on a win in their previous game due to a late penalty but had a strong historical record against Portsmouth, including a 5-0 home win earlier this year and no league losses since 1991.

All three matches were level at halftime, with the Israeli players integral to their teams' efforts as the Championship season progresses.
