IDF Judge David Dvir Delivers Harsh Critiques on Dancing with the Stars Contestants

David Dvir, known for his blunt and uncompromising critiques on the Israeli version of Dancing with the Stars, has once again sparked controversy with his comments as the season nears its finale. Throughout the show, Dvir has been consistent in delivering sharp feedback, often challenging contestants' performances and their dancing abilities.

Among his most memorable critiques, Dvir harshly criticized Tom Aviv's cha-cha, saying, "I don't understand how you dare. You take your body and try to dance with it, but nothing comes out. No step was a dance. It was like a robot moving because it was told to." He also expressed concern for the professional dancer Yana, stating, "I'm a little scared for Yana."

Regarding Matan Peretz's foxtrot, Dvir acknowledged the contestant's progress but doubted the audience's support would continue, saying, "I feel your body doesn't belong to your movements. The hands aren't held behind the back. I think you are serious about your work, but the body doesn't fit what you do. What does the audience understand? I don't think this has a future."

Dvir was less optimistic about Shi-Lee Shindler's Viennese waltz, noting her effort but doubting her potential for improvement: "I see you try hard, but some bodies aren't built for dancing. Without that foundation, I don't see room for improvement."

Comedian Guy Hochman’s jive performance was described as entertaining but lacking dance quality: "I didn't come here for entertainment, I came to see dance. There was everything but dance, it doesn't work. You must dance more, otherwise, what are we doing here?"

Finally, Dvir critiqued Bat Chen Segev’s cha-cha debut, expressing disappointment despite her potential: "Bat Chen, there wasn't much charm here. Something about your body didn't speak to me. The language hasn't come out yet, even though you have all the attributes. This was your first dance? I want to see a performance."
