IDF Confirms Killing of Hamas Operative and Two Aides in Airstrike on Jenin
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Shin Bet, and Israeli Police jointly confirmed the killing of Qais Bitawi, a Hamas operative responsible for local activities in Jenin, in an airstrike. Bitawi was killed along with two aides during the operation. Authorities found weapons in Bitawi's vehicle and stated he was involved in orchestrating, funding, and executing significant terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces. Additionally, Bitawi maintained connections with Hamas members in Gaza and abroad. He was also related to Noor Bitawi, a terror group commander in Jenin who was killed by Israeli forces in May 2025.
