Maccabi Netanya faces a setback ahead of their Premier League match against Beitar Jerusalem at Bloomfield Stadium on Saturday, as influential midfielder Basem Zaaroura will be unavailable due to a muscle strain. Zaaroura, a key player since coach Roni Levi's arrival, missed training on Friday and is ruled out for the game. To fill the gap, summer signing Nadav Nidam is expected to start alongside Maor Levi and Aziz Ouattara in midfield.
Coach Roni Levi is not planning further changes to the lineup, with Dolav Haziza continuing in an advanced role alongside Matias Daboo and Oz Bilu. Levi also mentioned in a recent press conference that the club is awaiting the arrival of three significant new players to strengthen the squad. The projected starting eleven includes Samo in goal; defenders Karam Jaber, Bakary Konate, Beni Feldman, and Amit Cohen; midfielders Ouattara, Nidam, and Maor Levi; and forwards Bilu, Haziza, and Daboo.
Netanya is seeking its first league win of the 2026/27 season after a goalless draw at home against Bnei Sakhnin in their opening match. The upcoming game against Beitar Jerusalem is crucial for the team's momentum and league standing.
