Maccabi Haifa Considers Midfielder Ali Mohamed for Starting Lineup Against Maccabi Tel Aviv

Maccabi Haifa resumed preparations on Friday for their upcoming match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday. Following their opening round victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan, the team aims to secure a second consecutive win, a feat they have not achieved at Bloomfield Stadium against Maccabi Tel Aviv in over two and a half years. Coach Barak Bachar is expected to test his starting lineup, with midfielder Ali Mohamed, who was not initially planned as a starter, now in contention after a strong second-half performance against Ramat Gan. Mohamed could join Yarin Levi and Eitan Azulai in midfield, potentially forming a more aggressive central trio.

Bachar is also considering a tactical shift by moving Bronninio to the left-wing position to enhance offensive options against Maccabi Tel Aviv. This adjustment will be evaluated in the coming days. Meanwhile, Goni Naor, who continues training with the team, is expected to leave before the transfer window closes. Naor has received offers from both Israeli and international clubs and must decide his next move. Last season, he was loaned to Larissa in Greece and previously played for Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel. A third stint in the Israeli Premier League appears likely for him.
