Bicyclist Killed in Crash With Police Car on Route 3

Emergency services received a report of the collision at approximately 9:44 AM. Paramedics from Magen David Adom arrived at the scene to find the cyclist unconscious on the road next to his bicycle, suffering from severe, multi-system injuries. Having found no signs of life, they pronounced him dead at the location.

According to Kan News, the cyclist was participating in a group ride at the time of the accident. Initial reports from the scene and statements from the police confirmed that the vehicle involved in the collision was a police patrol car, specifically a Border Police vehicle. The accident occurred on Route 3, with reports placing the location between Beqoa and Latrun, or between Baka al-Gharbiyya and Latrun.

Police officers and accident investigators are examining the circumstances of the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
